It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Gillian Hall on the 7th of January 2019 following a stroke and a long period of illness.
Gillian was the long-time Chair of Disability in Camden (DISC), Camden Disability Action (CDA)’s predecessor, and was also a key member of a group of disabled people who set up CDA.
As well as having a vision for the organisation, she had an appetite for dealing with the detail needed behind the scenes – Gillian worked with others to agree a constitution and policies and procedures for CDA.
Gillian was also a mainstay of other local voluntary organisations – including Women and Health, of which she was Chair.
Gillian was a warm and hard-working woman and will be sorely missed.
We will update this article if/when we hear details of Gillian’s funeral.
